چکیده
Conducting polymer-based micro-actuators are of great interest in soft MEMS as they exhibit large strains and forces response to electrical stimulation. To date, these have very often been characterized by applying low frequency voltage extract the electromechanical characteristics. However, many applications require maintaining actuator’s position for several minutes. A micro-camera tracking displacements an object, actuation a cochlear implant during surgery, or closing micro-tweezers manipulate objects potential which is achieved direct current (DC) voltage. Knowledge behavior under after DC crucial modeling future control. Consequently, kinetics reach maximum strain followed back-relaxation identified. It shown that it result competition between elastic restoring force backflow ions inside actuator. residual observed short circuit studied function applied. demonstrated chronology power-ups affect actuator amplitude. The interpretation experimental results linked directly intrinsic operation presented.

The present research attempts to explain dynamic pull-in instability of functionally graded micro-cantilevers actuated by step DC voltage while the fringing-field effect is taken into account in the vibrational equation of motion. By employing modern asymptotic approach namely Homotopy Perturbation Method with an auxiliary term, high-order frequency-amplitude relation is obtained, then the infl...

The unbalance currents injection by power electronic transformers in order to improve the unbalance voltage conditions of the network causes an imbalanced voltage in the DC link capacitors and creates an active powers inequality in the different phases. In this paper, the proposed control structure independently controls the active power of each phase by modifying the power angle between the vo...

متن کاملSynthesis and Characterization of Conducting Polymer Actuators
Conducting polymers are known to mechanically respond to electrochemical stimuli and have been utilized as linear actuators. To date, the most successful mechanism for actuation is ionic ingress and egress, though mechanisms based on conformational changes and molecular interactions have also been proposed. In the pursuit of new conducting polymer actuators it is necessary to design, synthesize...
